MakersGround is an engineering company based in Beirut, Lebanon. We develop robotics, connected devices and physical technology products through mechanical design, custom electronics, embedded firmware, product software, prototyping and manufacturing.
What MakersGround does
We work with businesses and product teams turning a concept, prototype or engineering requirement into a physical system. Our established services include hardware and robotics design, IoT consultancy, custom electronics, PCB work, firmware development, functional prototypes and short-run manufacturing.
Engineering can involve the complete product or a specific part of it. The scope begins with the intended use, available design work, technical uncertainties and the stage the product needs to reach.
Engineering experience shown through real projects
For Gomicron additive manufacturing, MakersGround handled mechanical design, PCB and electronics, firmware and control, slicing software, prototypes and manufacturing. Original images show CAD, electronics, software and physical printer work.
The Smart Glasses project explicitly credits MakersGround with device design, hardware and software. It connects a wearable camera and bone-conduction audio with a phone and a server-based image-recognition system.
Our public project archive also documents Pathfinder assistive technology, Binary Analytics feedback terminals and dashboards, the Buildink concrete 3D printing machines and software applications. Each project retains its permanent page and original gallery.
How we approach product engineering
Our published development process starts with customer discovery and product strategy: understanding the use, documenting requirements and planning phases. Design and prototype work follows the agreed scope, with review and ongoing support requirements defined around the product.
Mechanical, electronic and software interfaces need to be considered together. An integrated prototype gives the team a concrete system to review and a basis for deciding the next engineering stage.
Our public project history
The MakersGround project archive includes engineering records published in 2021. It preserves original project descriptions and media, while newer approved material can add detail to the engineering work. Historical prototype descriptions are kept distinct from current commercial availability.
Third-party coverage connected to projects in our archive is collected on the Press and project recognition page. Project recognition is attributed to the named project and publication.
